Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to meet up with some fellow enthusiasts and photograph some amazing cars. It was an exhilarating experience, especially since it was my first time capturing a Nissan Skyline R33, a personal favorite of mine. Alongside the Skyline, there were also two Mazda RX-7s and a Subaru WRX, adding to the excitement of the shoot.
I extended the invitation to another talented photographer, @shotbybrookie, and a skilled videographer, @merccmedia, both of whom contributed their creative flair to the project. You can find their impressive work on Instagram.
The location I chose, a metro rail station, provided a unique backdrop for our photographs and video, particularly during the breathtaking sunset. It was a moment of pure magic, capturing the essence of the cars against the urban landscape. Reflecting on my recent endeavors, I've realized a shift in my photographic interests. While I've enjoyed shooting models in the past, Although I will photograph models from time to time. I now find myself drawn more towards portraits and car photography. However, with this transition comes a dilemma: whether to continue building on my existing Instagram account, @chrisfphotos, which already has a dedicated following but is associated with a different genre, or to focus on growing my new account, @perspective_stills.
I'm eager to hear from other car photographers about their experiences and any tips or advice they have to offer. Also are there any other photographers that would like to join for some photo shoots with cars? Please leave me a comment and share your thoughts on this blog.
