So I was talking with a friend and He was telling me that he was heading to Norway and was looking forward to doing some photos while visiting. So I figured I could right this blog for some advise to give.
I haven't been doing landscapes for very long. I pretty much get to do them when I can, which is usually when I'm on vacation. In some Facebook groups I'm in, I see a lot of landscape photos that often look like simple snapshots of the scene in front of the photographer. Don't get me wrong; I'm guilty of this as well. Recently, however, after watching some videos on YouTube, I've started to understand what makes a good photograph. It comes down to good composition. For example, imagine you're at the beach during a beautiful sunset. You take a shot, and it comes out decent, but what is it lacking? Try to have something in the foreground, like some shells, a chair, or a person—something that tells a story. I hope this makes sense. You can have something in the foreground and the subject in the background. You can also have three levels: something in the foreground, midground, and background. Keep this in mind as you take landscape photos, and you'll create stunning images.
Do you have any tips you would like to share? Would love to hear them. Please leave a comment.
